Regret Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

Regret

That night I was tired and sleepy,
I got a cosy shelter in my bed,
He was more weary and exhausted,
But he had no place to sleep,
He pleaded me earnestly to give him a little space in my long and wide bed,
But I refused him vehemently,
After a while I fell deep asleep.
Next morning I woke up
And found that he had already left the place,
I felt extremely ashamed of myself,
"Am I a human being? "I asked myself with deep regret.
