Love carved its mark, a tale it tells
A tender bond now frayed and torn
Where hearts once blossomed, trust is worn How swiftly joy can turn to woe
The seeds of doubt took root to grow
What gift is this that brings such pain?
To hold each other and yet remain strained?
Where laughter painted hearts aligned
Haunt the quiet places once full of trust
A tender glance now drenched in tears
As visions fade through forgotten years
Beneath the moon's lamenting gaze
I wander through these ghostly days
Yet deep inside where hopes still yearn
I seek a light for which I burn
memory's ghost! Reside not here
Release me gently from this bitter sphere
No more shall I wander where shadows play
Let love find peace
