Religion 3. Poem by Nabakishore Dash

Religion 3.

For man to live,
are religion and caste essential?
Without caste and religion,
are dead the other animals?

What is the harm
if we combine and set fire
to all so called religions.
One and only one religion,
'humanity', be treated
unanimously by every one.

Those not realising this
fundamental single
concept fight for
own religious belief.
Wars, diffrence, loss of life
and blood never render
us any relief.

Let us mitigate this
unpleasant and painful
old concept, never cursed
by the creator.
Worship and propagation
of this only thought
would wipe out centuries old
sorrows of ours.
