First came the human race,
and long after originated
the religious concept.
Along with it, sowing seeds
of disunity and conflicts
was onset.
Superiority among religions,
preaching, sites, and
rituals provoke wanton
killing and vandalism.
Suppresses divinity,
ignites devilism (both inherent)
and totally decimates
humanism.
Wipes out live Sindoor,
devastates happy dreams and
peace, darkens the future
of the innocent kids.
Families and friends remain
submerged in the sea of tears
and hopelessness
due to the misdeeds.
Many become martyrs,
permanently disabled,
light of life is extinguished.
Rulers lose nothing, shed
crocodile tears, safeguard
their chairs and children for
which leave no stone unturned.
Is religion causing terrorism,
massacre, bloodshed, hatred?
is it diminishing humanism?
If so and if we can't respect
other religions equally, is it
not prudent to say goodbye to
so called man-made religionism?
A powerful and very discerning poem brilliantly presented. I concur with the great thoughts of the Poet specially the ultimate stanza. Must be read by all!
