I wish that I could see life
Through your loving eyes
You always find the good
Even when people lie

I do not see the world
The same way that you do
The people that I trust in life
Number only a few

You seem to trust most everyone
In them you put a of faith
But you see I can't do that
And it has nothing to do with hate

It's just that in my past
Those I thought I could trust
Seem to always let me down
And treated me unjust

So I make no promises
I make no guarantees
I just go through life
Relying only me
