Remember Me Poem by Bryan Taplits

Remember Me

Rating: 5.0

The blush of gliding to first love
The bumps that seal their truth,
The pedestal of one once above
Touching each memory that lies and soothes.
Nowhere are you now, I'm alone,
and now I am witless and scorned,
With only bitter dregs of life I am now assailed
Each which burns and bites like thorns.
I'll never forget nary the source
Of we two who once made a sum,
I'll remember you for how long more I live
I'll remember when once we were just one.
I fear- though-in that memory lane
As it slithers and sleighs-
onto Heaven's path it goes,
Yes, it will part on it's way-
and then dis-sever
-Not stay-
Nor remember its spouse
from days long ago.
