Remorse Expected To Express It Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Remorse Expected To Express It

LOL...
Stop it.
Where did you learn,
To be so funny?

'That wasn't a joke.
Many people,
Who know what they do...
To know later they shouldn't.
Are often remorseful.
And will express their regret.
With tears flowing from eyes.
Asking to be forgiven.'

With what?
Tears flowing from eyes?
LOLOLOL.
STOP IT.
My ribs are hurting.

'I don't get it.
What's so funny? '

Habitual liars.
They must love you to death.

'No one lies.
As if it's an addiction.
Or a habit.
That would be wrong! '

That would be what?
Wrong?
LOL...
God!
Father, please...
Help me take this seriously.
Is this a test?
I'm not going to pass it, God.
I'm not!
Father...
Most High Up In Heaven.
What have I done?
Am I on camera?
