Repentance Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Repentance is the genuine sorrow
For having grieved the LORD,
Admitting our own transgressions
For failing to obey His Word.

Repentance is the willful choice
To turn away from sin and there
To hear and follow our Shepherd's voice
Who leads the way for us forever.

To know therefore what God says of Sin,
We need His Word to give us needed Light
Allow the Holy Spirit to dwell within
To guide us, show what God says is Right.

The only Door to all of these is true
When we repent we forsake what's wrong-
As the Word of Truth sanctifies us through,
We come to know our God to Whom we belong.
