Repurposed 'tegument'

Sparked by James
via Greene's essay
on the young Dickens.

The word I didn't know,
I looked up:
the skin of an animal or plant,
a wrap,
from Latin tegere to cover.

Tegument

a good word for 'a word
you have to look up.'

For the verb:
tegumentalize,
tegument,
no,
give short 'teg' a go.

Without you're a Scotsman,
'craig' and 'aboon' you may have to teg
in 'the craig lies aboon the leg.'

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
James said 'integument' which means the same. I got 'tegument' out of my Chambers.
In Prague, many a sore neck
is got looking up at a Czech;
Looking up in The Hague,
you get a pain in the craig.
