Reticence Poem by Seema Aarella

Reticence

Rating: 5.0

I would not call it love
If you gaze at me as you lay beside
While I recollect a fond memory
looking away at a distant star.

I would not call it love
If you hide your passion in chivalry
And casually dismiss the feelings
Tiding at the touch of our hands.

I would not call it love
If you were my first and last thought
And millions more in between
Though we pass days in silence.

I would not call it love
If we treasure the same dream
In the undiscovered privacy
Of our desolate wakefulness and sleep.
