Return Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Return

Return.
Back to that time you forsake your faith.
Return.
Back to that time you replaced it.
Back to that time you erased faith,
From your mind.

Don't let these days affect you.
Misdirect or disrespect you.
Tossed and knocked down to neglect you.
Beware.
Get your faith back and take it everywhere.

Return.
Back to that time you forsaked your faith.
Back to that time you replaced it.
Back to that time you erased faith from your mind.

Get back.
And stay to your faith,
Loyal.
All you have to do is return.
Get back.
And stay to your faith loyal.
Recognize what faith returns.
Recognize with this to learn.

Get back.
And stay with your faith,
Loyal.
Recognize with this to learn.
Recognize what faith returns!
And without to ask you...
Why to excuse it with an alibi.
