Revelation Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

Revelation

Rating: 5.0

The rose in bud
Conceal large petals
Elegantly bright and perfumed
In small dome soft whorl
Like the Hibiscus
Allamanda
Pride of Barbados
Other reputed peers
Which blossom at dawn when due

The beauty shallow hidden is revealed
To a generation so unaware
Hitherto unconcerned
Who now raise their senses
To bless the eyes with nascent beauty
Smear their noses with adorable fragrance
Then lay claim of falsehood
On patent of discovery
Success indeed has brothers

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
When a young man or woman with determination makes a positive breakthrough, many people who never helped him or her will come to claim falsely how greatly they assisted.

You paint a masterpiece here, I think you wrote this on my birthday, March 13'. Perfect... I have giant rose bushes in front of my house. Pr
