Revolver - Poem by Crystal Maresh

Why does the pattern continue
When we lost our loved ones
Must we live this life
Must we be happy without them?

What about our significant other
When it all comes down
We will always be alone
No matter what anyone says.

I hold in my hand a revolver
To finally kill this pain
I feel everyday
Inside and out.

I put on a happy face
A mask for everyone to see
While I’m crying on the inside
In this being called life.

I want to escape
And put this revolver to my head
I don’t want to feel anymore pain
Or have anymore heartaches.

I hold in my hand
This revolver
To kill the pain
To be free of all things.

Why does it hurt
I just want to finally be free.
