Reward Time Out Poem by Terence George Craddock

yes and now the time has come
the reward time when i take time out
reward a few times i stop to read

others a few other poets authors

if i write a poem written
from thinking about
another poem or a few lines

i reference the source ideas
as i have for years
i reference the original poet

and original poem

dedicate the new poem
to that poem
to that poet

usually there is little
that is similar
but rare exceptions

trace original trajectory
brillant conception thought lines
flight shared creative imagery

when ideas
come from another poet
i want to faithful record

yet almost all i write
comes from often nowhere
for no traceable reason

they just are...
