Rhino Rocks - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Rhino Rocks - Lincoln Park Zoo

This rhino's running 'round the yard,
Playground at the Lincoln Park Zoo.
Life for this one year old's not hard.
On the lookout for stuff to chew.
Rocks have always been on the ground,
Since I first burst forth on the scene.
I nibble them and always found
They never fulfill food routine.
But I keep thinking a good thought,
That maybe rocks just need to age,
Like wine or cheese that humans got,
And over time, taste will engage.

Oh, rock of ages, still thee be
No tasty snack for rhino me.
