Right To Vote Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Right To Vote

Right to vote
Sunday, 25th November 2018

where our democracy is caught?
between wrong or right?
illiteracy and literacy?
or the infant democracy?

Still, you will find that votes are being purchased
the hired crowd is collected
the media is influenced
the democracy is literally pounced upon

How heaven is going to come down on earth?
how the farmers are not going to commit death?
how the population is going to be controlled?
either public is aware but not concerned

if the governance was the only concern
last 70 years could have turned
the table in people's favor
to our misfortune, the people have remained only the sufferer

what can the country afford?
from the illiterate politician's word
or from the dynasty rule
it is all tactics for making people fool

Country is harmed by our own people
You can see the sarees and liquor contribution
The temptation for money
Moreover, it is the least concern shown by an educated class in the country
