Roads - Mourning Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

Roads - Mourning

Compassionate
mothers used
their children for food.

Even the city's roads
mourned over
its condition.

Jeremiah could not
help but acknowledge
the abject state
of this city,
piled with rubble.

(Refer to lamentations
4: 10,1: 4.)
