Robust Love Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Robust Love

Rating: 5.0

The robustman by heart and head
quoted her, his last request:
"Revoke the ban please and don't shed
tears from your fair eyes blessed."

"Don't look at me with your vile eyes"
shameless to see the maids,
who roam around to form new ties!
"No, my eyes on none make raids".

"Do't maul my heart with words so rot",
he wiped his tears bloating.
"Cut our deep-rooted love's knot"
she said, without some fears.

He left the place to give her solace
but lost peace in his heart.
Spinster was she in her life's race
till Covid-19 played it's part.

"To clear doubts, I gave some clues
and no maid's breath touched me, "
he said, and she begged excuse.
They're blossoms in a tree.

She kept herself alone to keep
the Virus away. He dared
to meet her and waved not to weep.
Life remained, with her he shared.
