Romance In, Romance Out Poem by Neil Solan

Romance In, Romance Out

Rating: 4.5

Hot chocolate coats
And cinnamon hats,
Won't keep me from the cold, in fact
There is just one reason
I'm still standing here,
And it's the one damn thing
That will not come near;
It's you.

Cocoa voices let off steam,
While I stare at the horizon
And dream a wondrous dream;
It's so very romantic
From the outside,
Hand in hand with neon lights.

It starts off so well
But ends absurd,
All I wanted was a needless word!
I'll get my coat, you're just not hurt
(Remember the first kiss?
The first passive flirt?)
I'll get my coat, you're just not hurt.
