Romans 1 Poem by Randy McClave

Romans 1, tells us one and all
Which was written by the Apostle Paul,
Everyone must submit to the governing authorities
Of all nationalities.
For all authority comes from the Lord God
Which we all must obey, and applaud,
Whoever holds an office in any country square
God, has placed them there.
There is no "ifs" or "ands" or "buts"
Or "what" or "why" or calling people "liars" or "cheats" or "nuts",
When someone is elected to any political power
It's ordained from God, from his mighty tower.
God has placed people in power for a reason
Even the ones who crucified his son for treason,
That's why we have the leaders in the world today
For them we must all pray.
Maybe God is teaching many of us a lesson
When he places in power someone who is morally lessen,
Someone who the people believe is spiritually good
But, with the Lord they never stood.
Authority is given by the Lord God Almighty
Not by a lefty or by a righty,
Who is ever in authority God allowed elected
He knows how the lives of others will be effected.
When you don't like the authority that was chosen
If you believe to overthrow a election that you heard was stolen,
If hate and violence to overthrow in your soul does linger
Unto God and the Bible, you are giving the middle finger.
