Rose Leaves Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Rose Leaves

Rating: 5.0

I am trying to woo
And that is very true
I wanted permanent refuge
I knew she will not refuse

She has made me crazy
Even though I these years I was lazy
Never looked at beautiful lady
Even though many of them were willing and ready

She appeals me more
Not because she always tries to adore
But of her kind behavior
And nice shy nature

I have confided number of times
But she has ignored so many times
Takes me as non existent and disregard
At least I believe so and try to forgo

It is not that I am crazy boy
Her behavior completely annoys
I wish to tell her about my ignorance
I have left it to pure chance

But one thing definitely puzzles
Her eyes speak something and dazzle
As if heavy rain is forecast
I don’t know how long it will last

I want her to be mother
Child, when sees world, may run after
I dream about such world
And want her to come over and be part of fold

She is as soft as rose leaves
As beautiful as anybody can believe
She stays behind my heart curtain
I wish its stays forever and maintained
