Roses Poem by Heather Marie Allens

Roses

Rating: 5.0

A heat, a passion, my love
as if we dance in fire
when you kiss me so gently
Like roses whisper desire.

I see you clear as glass
although the sky is night
the stars' shimmer upon us
Like roses deadly bright.

Rain then came, you were gone
you took with you secrets untold
I lay alone to wait for dawn
Like roses still and cold.
