I guess I couldn't find the words
the right words to make you stay
And although you're gone now
I think of you every day.

I can't help but let my mind run
as I daydream from my desk
though it always runs back to you
and a pain shoots through my chest

I'll remember how we fit together
I was the perfect size for your arms
I'll remember your eyes and smile
You had such an incredible charm

I can't help but think of you
it is involuntary now
You meant so very much to me
you were my sun shining thru the clouds

But once the daydream ends
and reality seeps back in
That ache pulses thru my heart
I think of what we could've been

Because what we were was beautiful
no matter what they say
I wish for us every night
I wish I could make you stay....
