Rule Of Law Poem by PRAVEEN KUMAR English Poems

Rule Of Law

Justice or the rule of law?
Never the twin meets,
Like sunlight and electric light,
Natural and manufactured;
One comes from natural spring,
Other out of manipulations,
Look alike in showrooms;
Rule of law, a marketing technique
To sell from the democratic store
To suppress outcry for justice.

Justice is natural,
Sprouts of situations,
Distinct is each in outcome;
Seen in deep insight
By wise and selfless soul,
Unlike straight jacket
In undistinguished uniform
With closed eyes
In artificial processes
By a dull-wit delivered.

Justice is commitment
To restore what is right
And weed out wrong turns;
It is right discretion
To restore nature's balance;
What is right or wrong,
Here nature opens up,
Not the made-up laws
Motivated minds fabricate
That leads to fractious clashes.

Rule of law is not justice,
Where kicked to the roof,
Laws reign over justice,
Man rises over God,
Nature shirks before man
And twisted justice prevails,
True justice chokes to death;
Bring laws to fit your greed,
Load a buoyant lawyer with cash,
Lo, the rule of law falls on feet.

It is democratic justice,
Loaded with numbers and riches;
Just and right have no place here
While rule of law in disguise
Creates havoc in justice's fabrics;
Justice is truth; justice, natural,
No justice comes from fight in court,
Nor justice differs from court to court;
Justice is justice, wherever, whenever,
Rule of law undermines this justice.
