Rules Of The Debt Poem by Randy McClave

Rules Of The Debt

He who lies and he who will steal
Becomes as bad as those who will kill,
They don't care who they use or who they hurt
But, In the end, they will get their just dessert,
And to those who falsely give their oath
They become a liar, to God and themselves, (to the both) .
To those who make a promise and never give back
In honor and truthfulness they will always lack,
Whenever we hear them speak and give their word
We find it all in foolishness, and also absurd,
And to those who never pay back their debt
They are the ones to live and die in shame and regret.
To no man did I ever beg or borrow
I alone accept my own pain and sorrow,
One fact and truthfulness that I do believe and know
To no man, will I ever be bounded to, or owe,
In a dollar given, I never expect its return
But, for that forgotten debt, in Hell the debtor might burn.
