Running Out Of Reasons Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Running Out Of Reasons

Running out of reasons.
Are the hypocrites who find themselves,
Doing this to permit.
Not a benefit from it they can prove exist.
But remain to stay that way and sit.
Allowing the quality of life to slip.
While running out of reasons.
Or a purpose to explain,
Why they seem quick to not commit.
But passing judgement they do and swift.

Running out of reasons.
Are those who advocate and support change.
Knowing they too can be accused,
Of being fools.
By the very ones they discover to find,
Behind them telling others.
Anyone focusing on doing one thing at a time.
Is either seeking attention to get.
Or out of their minds,
To believe they can alone...
Make a difference if they remained committed.
But it is the hypocrites who sit.
Being the critics.
Making their efforts to endeavor,
More a possibility to achieve.
And less noticeable to stop their progress.
To leave those who are running out of reasons.
Or purpose to keep prioritized.
Awakening to realize,
It is the hypocrites who have them out numbered.
