Sad Square Of Blue
A birthday has come
With no one to fill it.
On the calendar it lies,
Outlined; a sad square of blue.
Like a pool, still,
Waiting for someone to come
And dive in.
Or a glass vase that has held
Many a lovely rose
But today holds none.
Sad but a very lovely write, one can feel the loneliness and the truthfulness it conveys, Beautiful.
