Safety And Demand Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Safety And Demand

Rating: 5.0

Does the world or universe belong to us?
Can we consume those arguments with trust?
I hopelessly watch the murderous game
Who are we now to pass on the blame?

We have chosen the democracy for the good
Hoped that poor will be getting nourishment and food
The forests would be green with enough of fruits and wood
The hopes may remain alive and properly understood

We are facing bullets and dying
We wanted dictators but they make us crying
Where do we go for our safety and demand?
This has been made prison for us and we are on remand

We are used as tools for their narrow gain
They their guns ready on us and no need to train
All rules framed to have an escape route
Simple cold murder in day light with all rules to flout

We had cherished for freedom and liberty
It was prayed sincerely and wished from almighty
What did we expect and got in return?
It is for us now to face all odds and wait for turn

What all three principles “P.P.P. embodied and stood
Rule of the people, for the people and by the people misunderstood
Power grossly misused at their advantage and taken for granted
Our expectations are bellied and not functioning as we wanted

It is power nexus and has deep roots
Only few enjoy the real cream and fruits
Poor still starve for the want of bread
In reality they are worst than animal and dead

We see no “God” in poor but an animal
Shown all cruelty when seen on arrival
Where all principles of high orders have gone?
Why complete world is not dazed to ground by cyclone?
