What kinda cruel joke is this
all factors were taken in account
the safety clause deliberately
put in place this time
contract carefully arranged
for protection of hearts

I'd figure this time around
we would avoid each other
but in rare case we did not
there was no way in hell
we'd fall for each other

The gap was large enough
we'd be safe this time

But calculations were off
destiny had other plans
forgot to take in account that
love transcends physics,
time and space
