Sai029. Sai Baba With Devotees Poem by Rajaram Ramachandran

Sai029. Sai Baba With Devotees

SHIRDI SAI BABA

Sai Baba handled his devotees
According to their fitness
To understand his easy words
Or follow his simple deeds.

It was more in the form of parables,
Or some simple moral stories,
That could easily strike all minds,
And it melts their hearts and binds.

Pride could be of many types,
But all are equally obstacles,
To one's spiritual progress,
In particular, to follow Gurus.

Sometimes Baba was a sole actor,
Who played the role of a teacher,
Teaching perfect humility, purity,
Self-control, equality, and generosity.

He observed his devotee's conduct,
And if he saw anyone did commit
A serious mistake he would correct,
With all harsh words that moment.

Once when he saw a devotee,
Fighting with another person,
He told him to behave like a man
And not like a dirty pig in a lane.

With all his skill he handled them,
Using soft or harsh words sometimes,
To bring them round to his point,
In the interest of their advancement.

If a righteous life, one must lead,
Let him be calm and composed,
Without hurting others' feelings,
And doing always good actions.

If one surrenders himself to God,
For anything, he should not be afraid,
As nothing will come in the way
Of his self-realization surely one day.

It isn't possible to say in detail here,
What all his ways and methods were,
But he proved himself as a simple
But a man of action to all people.
