Saleem Sinai As The Pope, Dryden Of India As Per Midnight's Children Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Saleem Sinai As The Pope, Dryden Of India As Per Midnight's Children

The Alexander Pope, the John Dryden of India
Mocking, poking fun at the Partition plan,
Who the architects of, how the sentiments
Of the people of the then times,
Bearing the brunt of freedom and post-coloniality
Taking to the theory of nationhood, constitution and statehood
Just like Dream Children by Lamb, The Rising of The Moon by Gregory,
Freedom by Shaw, Shooting of An Elephant by Orwell?
