Salty Night Poem by Susan Lacovara

Salty Night

On a salty night

Before the stars took stage

You held me

Near the break of waves

Both, bridled by our dusty ways

Your breath... my lungs expand

On a salty night

Burst fireworks heard

A prelude

To the spoken word

I'm glad to think it not absurd

That you should hold my hand
