കാണുന്ന വസ്തുക്കളുടെ ഭംഗി
സഹിക്കാവുന്നതിലധികമാവുമ്പോൾ
ആ വേദനയിൽനിന്ന് ഞാൻ സ്വയം
മോചിതയാകുന്നതെങ്ങിനെ!
കാരണം, സൗന്ദര്യമാണ് കയ്പിനേക്കാളേറെ
എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ മഥിക്കുന്നത്.
നെഞ്ചിൽ പൂക്കൾപോൽ ചെറുദ്വീപുകളുമായി
കിനാക്കാണും കടലിനെക്കാണുമ്പോൾ
പ്രപഞ്ചത്തിലെ ഒരേയൊരു ശബ്ദം മാത്രമേ
എനിക്ക് ശാന്തിയും വിശ്രമവുമേകൂ.
