Saturday Night Poem by Kelly Boutin

Saturday Night

Chorus:
There ain't nothin' better than a Saturday night
hangin' by the river in the full moonlight
sinin' with the willows on the muddy riverside
dancin' to 'The Summer of 69'

Turn up the dial 'till we blow the speakers out
roll down the windows and let's all scream and shout
let it all go, it's what it's all about
keep on dancin 'till we all fall down.

Let's pass out underneath the stars
holdin' our babies in our arms
hangin' on to the love in our hearts,
lets' show this world who we really are!

Let's sing 'till we drop down on our knees
lets' spin 'till the wind blows down the trees
let's burn this night down with gasoline,
and be who we really wanna be!

Let's forget about this shitty earth
take a back road, take a better turn
lets' dig ourselves out of the dirt
and find out what we're really worth!

Let's get what we're fightin for
break down all these doors
press the pedal all the way to the floor
and then we'll come back for more

yeah, we'll come back for more.

(Repeat Chorus)

'cause there ain't nothin' better than a Saturday night
a Saturday night
yeah, let it all go

let's live our life
this Saturday night!
