Say The Truth Poem by Emmanuel Joseph Olumakiss

Say The Truth

If saying the truth can change the world
Why do we choose to mince the word?
Saying black is white when we know it's not
Telling lies as fact when we know it hurt
All we do is what suits our ward
Faking smiles still we called it love
What exactly do we derive from wrong?
How come doing good takes us this long?
Why deviate from the word of God?
Doing only the things that please the world
Why do we always feel agog?
Living like one who comes from
Abroad
Tell me why does it take us so long?
To know the difference between right and wrong?
