Oh little sea shell I see there upon the sand
How I wish to lift you up into my hand
To add to my collection with great desire
Take you away with me to always admire

Glowing with colour all shiny to me
In my possession is where I want you to be
How far have you come to be washed up here?
The untold story of your demise brings a tear

As I stand here watching you that I admire
And wish to have in possession with great desire
I reach out to you with my trembling hand
But watch you wash away again, back to the sand…
