Searching Words Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

Searching Words

Words I spill, like songs I make,
Dreams and thoughts, a gentle shake.
Stuff inside, I need to share,
Poems and tunes, beyond compare.

Pages filled, a dusty stack,
Like old records, no turning back.
They look the same, a simple sight,
But each holds a different light.

A lyric needs a listening ear,
A poem needs a heart held dear.
Read each line, and feel the beat,
A message found, so very sweet.

Sometimes it's me, sometimes it's you,
A feeling shared, honest and true.
The art is there, a gentle art,
To move a soul, right from the start.
