Seasoned Winners Poem by Paul Sebastian

Seasoned Winners

A ship in the harbor is safe
Protected from the rough seas
Need not be beaten by waves
Unlike weathered ships by the quays

A ship is meant to be seasoned
To travel through storms of seven seas
To be seasoned by the seasons
To bear the winner's scars of victories

Life's battles you have been through
Molded you to be a true-grid champion you are
Painful years and tears you were brought to
Seasoned your moral courage to fly high and far

Leaders are made of such stuff to lead
Traveled the road of been-there-done-that
They teach others life's battles to beat
They are seasoned winners, no matter what
