Seasons Of Life Poem by Paul Sebastian

Seasons Of Life

A season for ice to melt into water
Glorious spring before cold winter
Children’s laughter and their tears
Man’s courage in the face of fears
Strength in moments of weakness
Time for suffering, time for rejoicing
Time for celebration and mourning

There’s a rainbow after a rain
Ice-capped mountains, lilies in the plain
There’s another day after each night
Things go wrong, things can go right
After a storm, there’s calm
Time to be cold, time to be warm
There’s love, against is indifference
For resistance, there’s obedience
Love: conditional and unconditional
Love: paternal and maternal

Life’s getting seasoned in seasons
Living through, simple joys and sadness
Going through, life’s blend of experiences
Reaping, through life’s journey: happiness

Colours of life’s seasons: begin and end
Through all, love triumphs, withstands
Life of love is infinite
Surpassing death, definite
For there’s no end: there’s life after life!
