Secluded Lies Poem by Dorsey Baker

Secluded Lies

She walked into the room
wearing a mask
which she removed
she did not want them to think
that she was trying to hide anything
her eyes
moving looking around
like an airplane trying to find somewhere to land
she had told them her story
and she had convinced them
that she was being truthful
only a few of them would doubt her
she was such a beautiful girl
who impressed everyone
with her respectful manner!
no one would ever know her deception
her words they accepted as truth
because she was beautiful
and she was so good
at lying!
