See Me. Poem by Carl Roussell

See Me.

I put on a brave face
but I'm losing my place.
I'm so tired of lying.
Would you feel diff'rently
if I let you see me?
I'm so tired of hiding.
I uncover these words,
I give you these words,
part of my reality.

This is very intriguing write and heartfelt. You could feel the agony in the words. Sometimes we don't want to reveal our true selves in fear of rejection. A very good friend of mine once said to me There is a difference between bad and evil. Bad is just an opinion. :)

Thank you for the comment. That fear of rejection can keep some people alone - I personally feel that friendship is worth the risk.
