See me the day before you leave.
I have some things I want to say to you.
We've been friends all these years,
And I hate to see you go.
I know you must go in a different direction.
I hope it leads you where you want to be.
We've been through thick and thin,
And relied upon each other all this time.
I just can't imagine
That we'll have to find others to rely upon.
I'll cherish the memories
Of our time together,
Which we'll share for the rest of our lives.
Just remember that
I'm only a phone call away.
