Selective Amnesia Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Selective Amnesia

Rating: 5.0

There are occurrences that you lovingly retrieve
Lasting thoughts that bring a smile to your face
On the other hand, some forgotten memories relieve
Wiped clean as though they vanished without a trace

No precious space for thoughts that sicken and rotten
Remove severely stained images that weaken the brain
Unpleasant, hurtful events are mercifully forgotten
Happy memories are gladly accommodated and remain
