Selling Out

Rating: 5.0

How long must one live a life unlived
Before one must sell out to live?
Can one live to only live without the
Means to live?

Selling out of poverty to stand upright
Without a soul and hunger for the light.
A moral wisp of wishes spread like wings
To dream at night.

Food we need to think about I've come
Into your life.
Yet a lie is but a lie no matter what the
Cost to self if one sells out.
The end will come before I've learned what
Life was all about.

Food gives us energy to live and move ahead. We should proceed ahead with right dignity. An interesting poem is beautifully penned.10

I love this very deep and a stunning poem that reflects on the price we have paid for our lives as we find a way through the maze of corruption, lies, hypocrisy! Great write!
