Sensuous Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Sensuous

Do.
Then don't.

Confuse those with expectations,
You eventually will deliver.
From a need to please an evaluation.

But refuse to be used.
Or be available for a scrutiny.
And at your expense.

Do. Then don't.
Unless addicted to conflict.
And the conflict is found to be sensuous.

Do. Then don't. But then...
It may be too late to deny temptation.
Or make claims that you wont or can't,
Perform a task asked to do.
And you...
Are the one left to beg,
To produce with a doing that gets done.

'You can't deny me.'

~I can if I wish.~

'Really?
Maybe one day you will help me notice it.
And I'll be left feeling warned,
Again! '
