Shaded Tones Of Gold Poem by Valerie Dohren

Shaded Tones Of Gold

Rating: 5.0

The sun breaks through the clouded sky
in shaded tones of gold.
Upon the earth her shadows fall -
soft images unfold.

A woven tapestry of light
spreads forth across the land -
a gown bejewelled by the sun
stretched out and widely fanned.

Reflections from the dawning day
are scattered all around -
with each and every wispy hue
displayed upon the ground.

With dappled sunlight through the trees,
kaleidoscopic tints
dance light upon the rippling streams
as diamond-studded glints.

The sun breaks through the clouded sky
in shaded tones of gold.
Upon the earth her shadows fall -
such beauty to behold.

What showed up as a row of question marks was actually five gold stars!
