When I remember you
I learn how to love my life
Even more than what I thought I would,
When I remember you
You fill my heart with passion
Even more than what I need to survive,
When I remember you
You create a vacuum of absence
Even more than what I felt before.
The seasons have changed
Those forest fires have vanished
From our hearts without a trace,
Still I search in the mirror of my soul
To reflect a piece of me in it
But have failed to see it again forever-
Now I feel it all around me as shadows,
Past is a tunnel of no return
When the life runs in one direction.

Beautiful train of thoughts, well articulated and nicely penned from inner recesses of the heart. Indeed, absence makes the heart grow fonder. Love is a spiritual experience that affects us profoundly, it's effects linger long after the source of stimulation is gone. It's also whimsical and temperamental, coming unannounced and may leave without warning. A lovely piece of poetry written with conviction. Thanks for sharing.
