Here comes the storm,
Lightning and thunders ready to perform.
Don't worry, they say, because there soon will be light,
So why can't I stop this consuming fright?
I am drowning, even though I can swim,
I choose not to; I'd rather not win.
The rainbow they promised, it was never true,
Oh boy, I wish you all knew.
That everything was all a big lie,
There's not one single color in this gloomy sky.
Just clouds that burst into tears,
Constantly reminding you about all of your fears.
Without rain, nature won't grow,
The process, however, is painfully slow.
Even the birds forgot how to sing,
They cannot fly with a broken wing.
The sky is the limit, we often hear,
What is the point if all stars disappeared?
My mother once said, 'Be patient, my dear, '
'I promise one day the sky will be clear.'
