She glances in the mirror
And sees a disappointment.
The reflection looking back
At her is not what her heart
Desires to see.
She desires to see a
Beautiful girl looking
Back at her, but instead
She is looking at a girl
That bares the scars of
Her childhood past.
The scars lay heavy on
Her appearance and
It destroys her.
Scars cover her and its
Enough to shatter her.
But instead of letting it shatter
Her, she shatters the mirror.
