I asked her could I help her cope
Then I asked her for some hope,
She could have said yes, I guess
But. Instead she just said nope.
Then after she gave me her final answer,
She walked away from me like a dancer.
I asked her could we have just one day
She, then took my heart and walked away,
She could have said yes, I guess
But, instead she just said nay.
She took away from me all that she could,
And if I had more, I now know that she would.
I told her that for her I had forever sought
And for her I have battled and fought,
She could have said yes, I guess
But, instead she just said not.
And as I bandaged up all of my wounds and scars,
I then started writing down my memoirs.
I asked her as one could we both grow
Could I please be the reasoning behind her glow,
She could have said yes, I guess
But, instead she just said no.
Then she walked away into another man's arms,
She left me for another man's charms.
